Production Update #6

11 October 2024

Just a tiny update today. Because I was looking to move out west, I assumed that I would be establishing a production base in my new hometown. I was conducting job searches in four states, but – for various reasons – had my eye on Cheyenne, Wyoming. Well, I got a job offer in Cheyenne, but discovered that while the housing market is bad everywhere, it’s especially bad in Cheyenne. So I ultimately had to turn down the job offer.

I may still move out west someday. But in light of recent events, I’ve decided to stay put in Wisconsin — at least until after this film has been produced. I plan on moving back to Green Bay next spring and establishing a production base there.

This does not change the intended filming locations. We will still likely be shooting in Nevada or Utah.

Production Update #4

26 June 2024

So far, we’ve procured about two-thirds of the equipment needed to produce the film, including the camera, lenses, tripod, rigging, lights, audio recorders, microphones, batteries, a generator, and various other accessories.

Most of what is still on the shopping list falls under the grip category, including a gimbal, vehicle mount system, and c-stands. I hope to be relocating soon, so rather than haul more equipment with me in a move, I’m going to wait until afterward to finish procuring equipment.

Production Update #1

24 April 2024

Today I completed the story outline.

Technically, I began work on a script about two years ago, while I was busy with other projects for the Machickanee Players. But since I was too distracted back then to give it the attention it needed, I decided to start over from scratch with fresh eyes and a fresh perspective. Also, two years ago I was writing a script with the intention of adapting it for the stage, not a feature length film.

With the outline completes, I can begin re-writing the script.
