The film script is now finalized and locked.
I know what you’re thinking. Didn’t Greg already announce that six weeks ago?
Yes. Yes, I did. Well – sort of. The final draft was completed, but the script was not locked in yet. I knew that I was going to be converting the screenplay into the novel, and since the novel contained so much more narrative content, it made more sense to use the novel as the primary work for proofreading and editing.
After the novel was completed, I had to reconcile the screenplay with any and all changes made in the novel. Now that that has been accomplished, the script is now fully locked in. The novel was already registered with the U.S. Copyright Office last month. And now, the script is registered too.
